High Hill Farm is a luxury retreat in the North East of England, offering four eco-friendly Scandinavian-style lodges designed for comfort and calm. Our Story
Our farm has been in the family since 1975, when it was lovingly brought into the fold by our grandparents. Known for many years as Broom Mill Farms, it began as a traditional dairy farm before transitioning to a beef cattle operation, a proud legacy rooted in the rhythms of rural life and honest, hard work. In 2002, we embraced a new chapter with the creation of Broom Mill Day Spa, a first for the area. Nestled among the peaceful countryside, it quickly became a local haven for relaxation and wellness. As times changed, so did our focus. In 2016, we downsized to become Just The Skin Bar, shifting our attention solely to advanced skin care treatments and offering a more specialised, intimate experience. By 2024, we made the heartfelt decision to pause our livestock operations entirely and reimagine what our farm could offer.

Our Vision
Our vision is to blend the calming beauty of our land with exceptional spa experiences and peaceful lodge retreats. With over a million pound investment in renovations, we revitalised our spa and introduced four stunning new lodges, built off-site and thoughtfully placed in a private, scenic location. Each lodge, designed for 2 or 4 guests, is surrounded by carefully landscaped grounds, offering guests a secluded escape with all the comforts of modern luxury. What began as a working farm has grown into a serene retreat, still grounded in our family’s history, but now dedicated to rest, rejuvenation, and reconnection.
